Vitamin C is involved in many physiological mechanisms: - it contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system; - it helps reduce fatigue; - it helps protect cells against oxidative stress. PiLeJe expertise: Acerola is a fruit 1 to 2 cm in diameter and grows on a small tree in the family of Malpighiaceae native to South America. The acerola is an edible berry, the flesh is juicy, yellow-orange, with a tangy taste, pleasant and very rich in vitamin C (up to 30 times what we find in orange).
